A Beginner's Guide to Linux Operating System

Linux is an operating system dedicatedly built for Linux kernel. It is free and open-source and is a preferred choice both for the desktop use and server requirements. Designed on UNIX grounds, Linux has been ported to many platforms compared to any other operating system.
Using Linux, it was much easier to develop an operating system that could run on many types of hardware. Thus, software vendors prefer Linux as they could sell ten times more software almost effortlessly. It also eased compatibility between vendors and users that usually communicate through devices of various operating systems and specifications.
